There will be one site visit, conditions allowing, for each non-resident Teaching Fellow per site to meet with their students for two full days. We will aim for each TF to visit their sites at the beginning of the program in fall, however travel may not be possible for the TF until winter of spring.
Site visit salary compensation (from the Scope of Work document):
- 2 days of travel, plus 2 days of work = 4 days
- 6 hours/day
TOTAL: 24 hours of pay
The GHL Program will also pay for the following travel related expenses:
- airfare, including intra-country flights
- ground transportation, including train and/or transportation to refugee camps.
- accommodations
- visa fees
- immunization fees
- meals and travel incidentals
Princeton University Graduate Students
Before you begin to make plans for a site visit:
- E-mail Jeremy and Nicole with your proposed dates of visit.
- Many destinations require additional logistics and planning, especially for those traveling to refugee camps or remote areas. Coordination with the International Partner is critical.
- Review the following Princeton University Travel policies and guidance:
- Book your travel with Princeton University's travel agency, World Travel (when ready email Nicole and she will put you in contact).
- Check on visa requirements (administrators at your partner institution may be able to provide guidance).
- Check if any immunizations needed for your destination; make appointment with University Health Services for your immunizations.
- Upon your return to Princeton, submit receipts to Nicole for reimbursements.
CEU and other external Graduate Students and Teaching Fellows
- E-mail Jeremy and Nicole with your proposed dates of visit.
- Many destinations require additional logistics and planning, especially for those traveling to refugee camps or remote areas. Coordination with the International Faculty Partner is critical.
- Check with CEU or your institution for travel policies.
- Book your travel with Princeton University's travel agency, World Travel (when ready email Nicole and she will put you in contact).
- Check on visa requirements (administrators at your partner institution may be able to provide guidance). Submit receipts to Nicole.
- Check if any immunizations needed for your destination; submit receipts to Nicole.
- Please email your final itinerary to Nicole.
- You will receive 24-hour emergency travel assistance coverage for the duration of your trip with International SOS under Princeton University's policy. Nicole will send you your membership card (please take a photo of it with your smart phone and keep a couple copies handy!) before your departure.
- Upon your return to home, email any receipts to Nicole for reimbursements.
